Engadget has gotten an anonymous tip that they seem to have enough faith in to post on the site. This tipster claims that the major Apple stores have installed 4G LTE equipment, making the stores compatible for AT&T’s upcoming LTE network. Now this leads to more speculation… why are they installing 4G LTE equipment in the stores? Well, the first and most obvious guess would be the upcoming launch of a 4G LTE compatible iPhone. There have long been rumors claiming an LTE iPhone was on its way, but there was still no solid proof.
Engadget is also reporting that these Apple stores are increasing sales force staffing by about 30%.
