At the beginning of the week Apple announced a price drop on the iPhone 3GS and the introduction of iPhone 4. This left many customers who had recently purchased the iPhone 3GS wondering what would happen to them. Well those customers need not worry, AT&T is going to offer a “one-time Customer Price Protection” to any customer who bought a iPhone 3GS, 16GB or 32GB, within a month before the price drop was announced on June 7th. These customers will have two options when it comes to their new iPhones. They can get a $50 credit for the iPhone 3GS 16GB or a $100 credit for the 32GB model. The second option is to exchange a new 3GS or 3G and have the purchase price put towards to purchase of the upcoming iPhone 4. Customers have 30 days from the date of purchase to claim the credit, unless they bought the phone between May 7 and May 14 in which case they will have until June 14th.
