RIM has announced an update to BIS 5 that will address common issues. Non-corporate BlackBerry users will be getting a few features that will probably not make too much of a difference to their phone experience. The features include:
- Users will have the option to see password characters when setting up email addresses.
- There will be improved descriptive support and error messages.
- Option to change email signatures via BlackBerry.
- Dutch language will be an option with BIS 2.6.
- There will be improvements to the Gmail integration. This includes the elimination of getting copies emails you send and one way synchronization of read, sent, and deleted emails.
