Hands On Review With The Verizon LG Revolution

The first Android-powered phone I can really get behind
Some quick notes:
If you’ve read my Droid2 review (or anything I’ve previously written/tweeted regarding Android) you know that I’ve always been a supporter of the Android platform but felt the technology too nascent and inconsistent in its earlier iterations.  I am the type of person who needs [...]

Nokia E73 Mode review

Background:
A Nokia affiliate asked us to do a review on the new Nokia E73 Mode, which runs on T-Mobile’s network, a few weeks ago.  Having reviewed the Nokia E71x in an earlier post – I found the hardware to be solid while the capable (if uninspiring and dated) Symbian OS was positively crippled by AT&T [...]

Motorola Droid 2: 1 Month Review

Ahh the Droid 2.  Heralded as the prodigal son of the original (and quite excellent) Motorola Droid. How does it stack up? A month of intense use and benchmarking paints an interesting picture…
The original Droid was criticized for it’s “chin”, slightly vague keyboard, and occasional user experience issues.  The Droid 2 – long lauded as [...]

After about [...]

Mossberg Leaks BlackBerry Storm 2 A Bit Early

Looks like Mr. Mossberg from the venerable Wall Street Journal may have broken the news on the Storm 2 earlier than expected.
Even though RIM and Verizon have not officially announced the phone, Mossberg’s review confirms what many have been saying all along- that the Storm 2 will have a supremely improved touchscreen (although that’s not a high [...]

AT&T’s Nokia E71x – Long Term Review

Nokia’s E71 is often lauded as one of the toughest, most capable smart phones and I had high hopes for the AT&T version- the E71x.
Form factor:
At a svelte 4.45 x 2.25 x 0.39 in and weighing in at just under 4.5 oz, the E71x is billed as the “world’s thinnest smartphone” -and it lives up [...]
