Today is a big day for Google and the company wanted to show off how well its Android platform is selling on smartphones and tablets. The company has hit the 100 million activated Android phone benchmark and continues to grow. In fact, it is growing by about 400,000 new Android devices every single day. Those are some pretty impressive numbers.
But let’s move on to the success of Google’s Android Market. There are now 200,000 free and paid apps in the Android Market. But it isn’t just for show, over 4.5 billion applications have been installed from the Android Market. We look forward to seeing the platform continue to grow in the future.
