Today News Corp announced The Daily, an iPad-only daily news source that takes advantage of all of the iPad’s unique capabilities like swiping, sliding, zooming, etc. The Daily is published 365 days a year and covers everything you could image. Upon reading The Daily, you will be able to read breaking news, sports, pop culture, entertainment, apps, games, technology, opinion, celebrity gossip and more. Not only that, The Daily is constantly updated throughout the day to reflect news happening that day. The Daily is live in the App Store and offers a two-week free trial from the date of the download, you don’t even need to enter your credit card number. After the two-week trial finishes, you can pay $0.99 a week or $39.99 for an entire year subscription. Got another tablet? Don’t worry, The Daily will be offered on additional tablets in the coming months.

And as we continue to improve and evolve, we are going to use the best in new technology to push the boundaries of reporting.”
Even Steve Jobs, Apple’s CEO, is excited about the launch saying, “News Corp. is redefining the news experience with The Daily… We think it is terrific and iPad users are really going to embrace it.”
