With the announcement of the Palm pre pixi and pixi plus, Palm has also announced a new application that will be available soon for webOS phones. Mobile Hotspot will allow users to turn their pre or pixi into a wireless hotspot. This is a new way to tether your phone to your computer, without having to get a device like the MiFi. There is no word on carrier pricing for tethering via the Mobile Hotspot app, but we are assuming that it will not be free.
