BusinessWeek is reporting that RIM will launch BlackBerry App World, its answer to the Apple app store, on April 1st. We hear that Mike Lazaridis will be making the announcement at CTIA in Las Vegas on the set date. BlackBerry App World will feature applications by third party developers. It is going to be exciting to see if this will pose a competition for Apple’s app store which has seen much success thus far.
