It has only been a few months since Sprint launches the BlackBerry Tour. However, many business customers have demanded a BlackBerry Tour without the camera feature for various business uses. Today Sprint granted the wish to those customers by launching the BlackBerry Tour with no camera. At the same price of the Tour with a camera, the non-camera Tour costs customers $199.99 after rebates with a two-year contract.

Sprint decided to follow in Verizon’s footsteps and launch the BlackBerry Tour on July 12th, the same day as its red friend. The price of the phone will be $199.99 for new and upgrading customers after instant and mail-in rebate. According to this update the phone will only be available online and through telesales at this point, so don’t assume your Sprint store will have it upon launch. This announcement was made over twitter, we are still awaiting a press release.

We know that Verizon is getting the BlackBerry Tour on July 12th, but stopping by the Verizon Wireless website revealed another surprise. The company is also going to be selling a version of the BlackBerry Tour with no camera on it. The last BlackBerry with no camera was the 8830, which we assume is going to be phased out soon. The pricing for the no camera Tour is the same as the Tour with the camera, $199.99.

I don’t think I’m alone in saying this: We’ve been waiting forever for this phone to drop.
Kevin Bryne over at Howard Forums has put the Tour launch date at July 13th. This release date is matching with what a lot of other people are saying so we’re at least going to say somewhere around there.
Unfortunate that this device has taken so long to drop. Better late than never though!
