AT&T announced the nationwide launch of the 3G MicroCell today at CTIA. The MicroCell will be available in mid-April. For those who don’t know what a MicroCell is, it allows customers to make phone calls and dataconnections across a home broadband connection. This allows for users that live in low-coverage areas to get service in their home. The Microcell will be available for a one time fee of $149.99. It costs $19.99 a month to make unlimited calls through the 3G MicroCell.

Spint announced the availability and exclusivity of the HTC EVO at CTIA yesterday. The HTC EVO is the World’s first Android 3G/4G phone and has some really exciting specs. The phone runs Android 2.1 so it will not be behind like some other Android phones still dropping. There is no pricing yet, but Sprint says the phone should be available at this summer.
Sprint also announced that it would be expanding its 4G network in 2010 to Boston, Denver, Houston, Kansas City, Minneapolis, New York City, San Francisco and Washington, D.C.

AT&T has launched a teaser site leading us to believe that the Nokia E71x launch is imminent. The E71x was originally planned to launch of March 24th, but was delayed to a unknown date. We assume that it will be announced next week at CTIA. The Nokia E71x sports all the same features as the original E71, but is branded for AT&T. BusinessWeek is reporting that RIM will launch BlackBerry App World, its answer to the Apple app store, on April 1st. We hear that Mike Lazaridis will be making the announcement at CTIA in Las Vegas on the set date. BlackBerry App World will feature applications by third party developers. It is going to be exciting to see if this will pose a competition for Apple’s app store which has seen much success thus far.
