iPhone 4 Case Review: Case-mate barely there

case mate barely there iPhone 4 Case Review: Case mate barely there

With antennagate  and we are betting there are some people still looking for a nice case for their phones. For that reason, we have decided to do a massive review of iPhone 4 cases, starting with the Case-mate barely there. Case-mate is well known for its large selection of cases available for popular mobile phones. It should be no surprise that it was one of the first companies selling iPhone 4 cases.

The Case-mate barely there case for the iPhone 4 has a form-fit design that fits right to the phone. The case itself is a piece of plastic that has a soft texture on the outside to allow for a good grip when holding the phone. The barely there snaps on the back of the iPhone to hold right on the phone without bulking it up. Case-mate says that the case is impact resistant, which is very important for a iPhone 4 case. The case covers the corners of the phone where a lot of damage can be done if dropped. It also covers the back of the phone where scratches can happen. We like that there is an opening for the Apple logo so people know we still have an iPhone 4. Barely there also comes with a screen protector sheet that can be applied to the front of the iPhone to stop scratches on the touch display.

There has been a reported problem with the antenna on the iPhone 4. This case does seem to stop the problem with reception as it covers the external antennas on the phone.

The Case-mate barely there case has a large selection of colors including black, white, pink, blue, clear, green, metallic silver, and purple. You can pick one of these up for $24.99 at the Case-mate website.

Apple launches iPhone 4 Case Program

Apple launches iPhone 4 Case Program

screen case app 20100723 Apple launches iPhone 4 Case Program

Last week Steve Jobs called a press conference and said that it would be giving away free cases to iPhone 4 users due to the antenna issues. Jobs said that the antenna issue is not unique to the iPhone and can be replicated on other smartphones as well. However, in an effort to keep its customers happy, Apple has launched the iPhone 4 Case Program that will allow customers to get a free case for their iPhone 4.

Getting your free case is simple. All you need to do is download the iPhone 4 Case Program app. From there it will allow you to log into your iTunes account and choose a free case from a selection of Incase cases, Belkin cases, Speck cases, or a black Apple bumper. If you made your iPhone 4 purchase before July 23rd, you must choose a case no later than August 22nd. If the iPhone 4 was purchased after July 23rd, you have 30 days from the iPhone purchase. The program will also not be valid for iPhones purchased after September 30th.

If you’ve already purchased a Apple bumper, the company said it will refund you the full price of the bumper. If you used a credit card, it will automatically be refunded. If you used cash you need to go into your local Apple store.

REVIEW: iFrogz Luxe for BlackBerry Bold 9700

REVIEW: iFrogz Luxe for BlackBerry Bold 9700

DSCN5416 768x1024 REVIEW: iFrogz Luxe for BlackBerry Bold 9700

Earlier this week, we received the iFrogz Luxe case for the BlackBerry Bold 9700, a beautiful yet simple case that protects your phone from all those dings, dents, and drops that you crackberry addicts do to your expensive phones all the time, and from using it for a while now. I can definitely say that this is one of my favorite BlackBerry cases around.

DSCN5417 768x1024 REVIEW: iFrogz Luxe for BlackBerry Bold 9700

Now at Smartphone Nation, we suggest all our readers and gadget lovers to use protection, and so does iFrogz. The iFrogz Luxe case for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 is one of a kind. The soft plastic/ruberish hard case is perfect for your Bold and pocket friendly. When I say pocket friendly, I’m sure you know what I mean when you have that silicon OEM case which has become a lint collector.

DSCN5453 768x1024 REVIEW: iFrogz Luxe for BlackBerry Bold 9700

Now, why you ask, should we suggest using this iFrogz case? Well because it’s sleek, stylish and simple. Best of all, it’s a two piece case and the bottom is easily removable so that you can still use your BlackBerry dock without having to dismantle your phone like some cases.

DSCN5446 768x1024 REVIEW: iFrogz Luxe for BlackBerry Bold 9700

Color choices for the Luxe case includes Teal, Blue, Deep Pink, Grape, Red, Orange, Green, or Iron and comes with a screen protector. The volume rocker, camera button, camera, flash, left convenient key, micro usb and 3.5mm headphone port as well as the mute and keyboard lock key and most importantly, the speaker hole have all been cut out for easy access. If you read our iSkin review of the Curve 8900 earlier, you would have noticed that the speaker hole was not cut out, leaving the phone pretty much soundless. iFrogz fortunately was smart enough to cut that out and save the hassle.

DSCN5450 768x1024 REVIEW: iFrogz Luxe for BlackBerry Bold 9700

The iFrogz Luxe case fits very snug in and isn’t loose. It adds some bulk to the phone but not too much that you can’t throw it in your purse or pocket and doesn’t add weight to the phone at all. One thing that did feel different was the edge of the keyboard. It didn’t bother me too much but when pressing the P, delete, and enter along with the Q, A, and alt buttons along the side. It felt a bit weird mainly because my fingers are fat and the keyboard is small, causing my fingers to lean on the side of the case.

Overall, I like the case very much, and being a person that hates cases. That’s good. It doesn’t cover up anything and the BlackBerry performs as it should while protecting your valuable goody without loosing it’s cool look. I could definitely see myself using this case on a daily basis and if your a heavy party guy/gal. This would definitely be a case you should invest in.

The iFrogz Luxe case for the BlackBerry Bold 9700 will run you for $29.99, a small price to pay to protect your valuable phone.

hug Case Mate Hug wireless charging system now available

Case-mate has released its long awaited Hug wireless charging system. We were able to see it in action at CES and we were pretty impressed with it. The case “hugs” your iPhone to protect it from damage, but that is only half of it. There is also a wireless charging pad that charges your iPhone by just placing it on the pad. The Hug is the most affordable wireless charging pad on the market at $99.99. This price includes both the pad and the case, no need to spend more money on other accessories.

Review: MyFrogz custom iPhone cases by iFrogz

MyFrogz front Review: MyFrogz custom iPhone cases by iFrogz

iFrogz is well-known for their iPhone cases that come in different colors. Previously, there were a few color styles, however iFrogz has introduced the MyFrogz custom iPhone cases at CES. With the MyFrogz cases, consumers can choose hundreds of unique case options to satisfy their preferences. These unique options include new colors and finish options too the existing Luxe cases that are available. Users can design their custom case by using the free MyFrogz iPhone app or visit www.MyFrogz.com. The MyFrogz custom cases are shipped within 24 hours at no extra cost.

We were given the opportunity to customize our own MyFrogz case and we’re pleased with the results. To create a case you can go to an AT&T store and pick up a customization code. From there you can create it on www.MyFrogz.com or by downloading the MyFrogz iPhone app.

We used the iPhone app and decided that we wanted our iPhone to be “Cherry Red” and “Thick Black” because it looks nice. The iPhone app was extremely simple and easy to use. Then you can make the order right from the app.

MyFrogz iPhone Review: MyFrogz custom iPhone cases by iFrogz

When we got our case we were told that the case ships within 24 hours after the order, which is fantastic for a custom case. Personally when we want to order accessories we expect to get it as fast as possible and hate waiting. iFrogz has made the wait as short as possible for us and boy do we love that.

MyFrogz 1 Review: MyFrogz custom iPhone cases by iFrogz

The packaging that the case came in was also impressive. Since the MyFrogz is all about personalizing the case for you, the company puts your name on the packaging. This makes it feel personal and that it was made specially for you, which it was.

MyFrogz 2 Review: MyFrogz custom iPhone cases by iFrogz

Once we opened up the packaging, we were impressed with the feel of the case. iFrogz described it as a “velvety ‘soft touch’ feel”, and we couldn’t put it any better ourselves. The feel is great on the hands and helps when gripping the phone. The colors of the case are vibrant and metallic, which makes the iPhone really stand out. We have found that some cases leave minor scratched on the iPhone when put in and taken out of the case. However, the MyFrogz case has a velvet-type material on the inside that eliminates those type of scratches.

MyFrogz 3 Review: MyFrogz custom iPhone cases by iFrogz

Getting the case on the iPhone is simple. Just put the top piece on and then slide the bottom piece on, then they snap together. Taking the case off is as easy as pushing in the locking part of the case and pulling the top off.

Once on the iPhone, the case fits snugly and does not make the iPhone bulky. The MyFrogz case is very slim so when in the pocket it is not taking up too much more room than it would take up without a case. There are spaces for all the buttons and they are easy to press when the iPhone is on.

MyFrogz 5 Review: MyFrogz custom iPhone cases by iFrogz

Overall we are very satisfied with the case. We could definitely see ourselves rocking this with us all the time. We also wanted to bring up the Customer Satisfaction Guarantee for the MyFrogz cases. This allows customers who decided that they don’t like their color choices to exchange it for another custom selection within 10 days of it being delivered.

The MyFrogz custom iPhone case will run you $39.99 and is the perfect option for people who want to choose the colors of their case and need quality.
