The BlackBerry Curve 8900 has been on T-Mobile for a few months already and is getting some good reviews. AT&T decided to get some of the action and pick up the 3G-less phone. The AT&T BlackBerry Curve 8900 will cost $199 after a two-year contract and will be launched this Friday.

Alltel is launching the BlackBerry Pearl Flip in early May to go along side the BlackBerry 8330 and Pearl. The Pearl Flip uses SureType to have a QWERTY keyboard, similar to the BlackBerry Pearl. The difference is that the Pearl Flip is a flip phone, not a candy bar style phone. The Pearl Flip on Alltel will run you for $79.99 after mail-in rebate, assuming you meet the plan requirements. Alltel has dropped the price of their wireless broadband card when bundled with a voice plan. The old price would have been $60 with or without a voice plan. Starting today, customers with a voice plan will be able to get a wireless broadband card for $40 a month. If you want to get set up with this plan make sure to ask for the Smart Choice Pack.

Alltel has gone ahead and released the Treo Pro before Sprint. Alltel is the first CDMA carrier to release the Treo Pro in the United States. Sprint has delayed their launch until March 15th allowing Alltel to steal the spotlight and release it first. As far as pricing, you can pick up a Treo Pro for $199 after rebates starting today.

Almost every major carrier has a navigation program on their GPS enabled phones. Many carriers use TeleNav for their navigation programs including AT&T, Sprint Nextel, T-Mobile, Rogers, and Bell Mobility. I got my hands on AT&T Navigator, which is powered by TeleNav but rebranded for AT&T. There is no better time to try a navigation program than when you are on the road. JD Power has released its customer satisfaction surveys and it shows some interesting things about the wireless companies. AT&T seems to have the worst call quality, while Verizon and Alltel have the best in most areas. Among smartphones, RIM BlackBerry is the winner with the best overall satisfaction, while Motorola is dead last.
