Tons of people are patiently waiting the release of the SlingPlayer for the iPhone. Today Sling Media confirmed that it has submitted the first release of Sling Player to Apple. Once Apple reviews and accepts the program, it will be available for download from the App Store. In January, Sling Media announced that they were working on a program for the iPhone and that it would be released by the end of March.

It has been a while since Sling Media released the beta version of SlingPlayer for BlackBerry Devices. A few minutes ago they uploaded the official version 1.0 of the program to their site with tons of improvements. This officially makes SlingPlayer for BlackBerry out of beta. Make sure to visit the mobile.slingmedia.com on your BlackBerry to get this version.

Just when you thought the E71 was old news, Nokia decides to bring it back. Nokia introduced two new colors to the E71 line. Starting today, you will be able to get your hands on a black E71 or a white and red E71. This is a nice change from the old grey or white they offered before.

Sling Media announced Monday night that they would release a SlingPlayer application for the iPhone by the end of March. In June of 2008, Sling Media released a video of an alpha application which they developed using a hacking method with the iPhone. The final release that will be available to the public will follow the SDK guidelines and will be approved by Apple. According to Brian Jaquet, PR director for Sling Media, the company will submit the application to Apple in the first quarter of 2009. The pricing for this application has not been determined yet.

It has been nearly a year since Sling Media announced at CES that they would be releasing SlingPlayer for BlackBerry devices before 2009. With only a few days until the new year, they have made good with their promises. SlingPlayer for BlackBerry Beta is officially available for download from its site and is ready for testing. The product looks great and is very smooth. Make sure to look at the compatible products before using.

Sling Media has added new devices, which have higher definition screens, to their supported Windows Mobile devices. Owners of the devices above are not able to download SlingPlayer to their phone and watch their SlingBox directly from their phone.

SlingBox announced last year at CES that they would be releasing SlingPlayer for BlackBerry in the coming year. With a few weeks left in 2008, they have finally announced a release date. According to a statement from Sling Media, SlingPlayer for Blackberry will be available as a public beta on December 30th for anyone to download. This will allow BlackBerry owners to watch live television from their SlingBox. At this time, they do not support any CDMA BlackBerry’s. Click here for the list of supported Blackberry’s.
