Verizon announced today that they would be releasing their first netbook, the HP Mini 1151 NR, on May 17th. The netbook will cost $199.99 after a $50 mail-in rebate assuming you get a broadband plan with it. While on the subject of Verizon’s mobile broadband plans, they have also announced changes to the plans themselves. [...]

File this under “rumor to the max” but word on the streets is Verizon might be dropping some Apple related devices on it’s network in the near future.
Business Week is reporting that Apple has already created prototype devices for Verizon and it’s currently being tested.

Boy Genius Report got their hands on an internal screenshot that proves Verizon will be carrying a EVDO Rev. A netbook on its network. There is no release date or pricing on this device as of yet, but we assume it will be highly discounted with a two-year contract.
