Annex Products found that there was a need for a discrete way to have condoms on you at all times. The case company’s answer is the Playa case, a way to protect you and your phone.

This case has a polycarbonate hard case that fits the iPhone 4 and 4S. The real appeal behind the case is the discrete storage compartment that is designed to carry two condoms.

“Annex Products has always prided itself on developing strong, reliable protection solutions for the iPhone,” says Annex Products co-owner, Robert Ward. “With the Playa™ Case, we have taken protection to another level, for the iPhone user, and not just the phone itself,” Ward says.

The Playa case will be available for $29.95 in black, white and pink. It will be available for purchase in the summer 2012.

Apple announced the third generation iPad on Wednesday, instantly allowing customers to preorder it for March 16th delivery. Two days later, online preorders for the March 16th delivery date have sold out and new orders will now be receiving their iPad on March 19th. Needless to say, the longer you wait to order, the longer you’ll have to wait to get it.

While details are still limited, The New York Times has cited that the company will showcase its entrance into the textbook market. This is a feature many student have been waiting for, the ability to ditch their physical textbooks. We are excited to see what Apple has come up with.

Verizon announced three additions to its smartphone lineup today at CES, the BlackBerry Curve 8370, DROID RAZR MAXX, and LG Spectrum.

The BlackBerry Curve 8370 brings a new edition of the Curve to the Verizon network. Some of the highlights to this BlackBerry is support for Near Field Communications (NFC). The Curve 8370 also features 3G, Global Ready, a 5-megapixel camera with a flash, and more. The BlackBerry Curve 9370 will be available for $99.99 with a two-year contract on January 19.

Next up is the new DROID RAZR MAXX. Verizon is adding a new member to the DROID family. The MAXX brings the features of the DROID RAZR but is designed to overachieve. It claims to have the longest battery life, letting customers talk on the phone for more than 21 hours straight on a single charge. While it will be running Android 2.3.5 Gingerbread at launch,Verizon promises that it will be upgraded to 4.0. The DROID RAZR MAXX will be available in Verizon Wireless Stores and online in the coming weeks.

The last phone Verizon announced is the LG Spectrum. This one features a 4.5-inch True HD In-Plane Switching display allows you a great display when watching the ESPN ScoreCenter app. This app brings exclusive HD video feed, scoreboards, live game details and more. It runs Android 2.3 Gingerbread, but LG and Verizon are saying the Ice Cream Sandwich update will be available in the first half of 2012. On the internals, the LG Spectrum has a 1.5GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. Customers can plan on picking this one up from Verizon stores or online on January 19 for $199.99 on contract.

Lenovo announced the IdeaTab S2 today ahead of CES, its first Android 4.0 tablet. This tablet conveniently comes with a keyboard that will allow you to place it in and type away as if it was a desktop, trackpad and all. Lenovo packed a bunch of other impressive features that makes this a real competitor in the tablet market.

The IdeaTab S2 has a 10-inch LED-backlit IPS display, a 1.5GHz dual-core Snapdragon processor, 1GB of RAM, a 5MP rear-facing camera and a 1.3MP front-facing camera.

We expect to hear more about this tablet on the CES floor where we will be sure to stop by the Lenovo booth for a hands-on. Hopefully we can score a release date to pass on to the readers.

Amazon, in an interview to with the New York Times, said that it is less than two weeks from rolling out an over-the-air update to the Kindle Fire. The company says that there will be improvements in performance and multi touch navigation. Customers will also be able to edit the list of items that shows what they’ve done recently.

Verizon boasts that it is “lighter than a paperback book and thinner than an AAA battery”. Running Android 3.2 Honeycomb, the DROID XYBOARD takes advantage of Verizon’s 4G LTE network and a super fast dual-core 1.2 GHz processor. Not only that, but this tablet is guaranteed to be upgradable to Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich.

The DROID XYBOARD 10.1 is available in three models: 16 GB for $529.99 and 32 GB for $629.99. The 64 GB model will be available online for $729.99. All three with a new two-year customer agreement.

The XYBOARD 8.2 will be available in two models: 16 GB for $429.99 and 32 GB for $529.99, both with a new two-year customer agreement. Both of these tablets require you to subscribe to a Verizon Wireless Mobile Broadband data plan starting at $30 for 2GB.

We have been waiting for an untethered jailbreak for iOS 5 since it’s release. There is now a semi-tethered jailbreak using Ac1dsn0w, but nothing compares to not having to sync when you restart your phone to regain use of your most important apps.

Luckily a hacker named Pod2g has been working towards the cause and released a preview video showing an untethered jailbreak on an iPod touch. No details on when it is going to be releases, if ever, but at least we know it may be possible. Check out the video after the jump.

Today is iPhone 4S launch day! The phone is now available on Verizon. AT&T, and Sprint. Many people waited out all night to get the iPhone first! In fact, we got a chance to catch up with Steve Wozniak (The Woz), cofounder of Apple, who was first in line at the Los Gatos Apple store.

We have been monitoring stock and it seems that many of the Apple stores are still in stock with most models. If you want to grab a iPhone 4S, hit your local store and you may have a chance to still grab it on launch day.

But the day was not plague free, we’ve heard intermittent issues activating on AT&T’s servers.

Basically, you choose a user made rooms, mostly revolving around music-types, and listen to music played by other users or you can DJ yourself. The site is pretty addicting and will give you the opportunity to hear new music.

TechCrunch has learned that the company is releasing an iPhone app soon and has posted screen shots. It looks pretty much like the website condensed into a nice iPhone app. We look forward to seeing it soon.
