Apple overtakes Nokia as it becomes the world’s largest phone vendor by revenue

Apple has taken the spotlight off of Nokia’s revenues. Apple stated that its revenue in the last quarter increased to $11.9 billion. This compares to Nokia, whose revenue from phones dropped to $9.4 billion.

Nokia announced that it would be changing its operating system to Windows Phone 7 in future phones. This leaves the Symbian fans yearning for more of the popular operating system and it continues to become less and less popular.
