T-Mobile launches “4G” advertising campaign

T-Mobile has started a new advertising campaign that poked fun at AT&T for having 3G data speeds. The company claims to have “America’s Largest 4G Network”. Now this begs the question… Does T-Mobile have 4G? The answer is no. In previous commercials, T-Mobile claims that its network has 4G speeds, but that it runs off of 3G HSPA+. While HSPA+ is faster than normal 3G, it is still not 4G in the sense of ‘real 4G’. But it isn’t just T-Mobile, analysts claim that Verizon and Sprint’s 4G is also not ‘real 4G’. While this debate is ongoing, we are still laughing at the fact that T-Mobile is calling its 3G network 4G and poking fun at other carriers with it. You can take a look at the full commercial after the jump.
