Duracell released a couple portable chargers for your cellular phone or portable devices early July of 2009 and we’ve been lucky enough to receive one of their Instant USB Charger’s.

The company Duracell majors in battery’s and have put extensive research into every product they’ve released, and this new Duracell Instant USB Charger uses 1150 mAh Lithium Ion rechargeable battery’s designed to be portable and fit your mobile lifestyle. The charger is universal and can provide convenient power for popular portable devices including BlackBerry’s, iPods, iPhones and almost any phone or device that can be charged via USB.

The chargers sleek design makes it simple and easy to carry around, not to mention the new security laws on flights in the United States. This small portable charger can fit in your pocket and stored away in case your iPod or iPhone decides to die out on your flight. The charger provides charges of up to 35 hours of backup power. Using it with my iPhone, I was able to revive my dead phone from 0% up to roughly 60%-70%. When the charger is empty, plug it into any computer via the provided USB cable and it will notify you when it’s fully charged with a small green LED light.

The Duracell Instant USB Charger is priced at $19.99 and can be purchased at any mass merchandisers, drug and hardware stores nationwide.

I just tried this charger with my Blackberry Bold 9700 and I get an error message telling my the power source is not strong enough to charge my Blackberry.

This is the second external power source that has given me this error.

Is anyone else experiencing this problem?
