Earlier, we told you that Rogers will be launching the 21Mbps HSPA+ network. Well we’re glad to say that it’s finally came and its been faster then ever… we think. Unfortunately, there is no device out for Rogers that can even support this as of yet. However, you can pre-order the new HSPA+ Rocket Stick from Rogers for $79.99 on a 2 year data term or $199.99 if you want to buy it out (and use it for AT&T’s non-existent HSPA+ service or their non-existent 7Mbps that they have yet to release… boo!). Non the less, look out for new speedy devices that’ll probably roll out sometime around the Vancouver Winter Olympics.

Today, Rogers announced that the 21 Mbps HSPA+ network went live in Canada’s top 5 cities: Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto, Ottawa and Montreal. Customers can access the new speeds through a 21 Mbps HSPA+ Rocket Mobile Internet Stick, which they can pre-order online at rogers.com starting today.

To pre-order your HSPA+ Rocket Stick from Rogers, follow this link. Or to read more about the new Rogers 21Mbps HSPA+ network and how us Canadians are proud to finally say that Rogers data plans are now worth it, Click Here.

UPDATE:

Howard Chui was lucky enough to conduct an underground test over at Rogers with the Rocket Stick even before it was released. He has recorded a video of the speed test he has conducted and posted it on YouTube which you can watch below. You can also check out his website below for more pictures and snapshots of the new ZTE 668 Rocket Stick from Rogers.

Thanks Howard Chui!
