Cobra showed off its iRadar product for Android and iPhone this week at CTIA. Cobra is well known for its radar detectors and is one of the leading radar detector manufacturers. The company is taking its radar detectors to mobile phones in an effort to reduce the cost of a high-end radar detector and make it convenient for its users. iRadar uses bluetooth technology to connect the dash-mounted radar/laser detector with the iRadar app, which is free. When connected through bluetooth, the app will display radar/laser alerts, allows you to control detector settings, and alert you to upcoming photo enforcement areas using AURA Camera & Driving Hazard Database. Cobra iRadar has been available for the iPhone since October 2010. It will be available for Android on April 4th. Both cost $129.95 and include the radar detector and the app.
