Waze has just opened its alpha test for Android users in the San Fransisco/Bay Area to test. But what is Waze? Waze is aiming to create the first user generated live driving map through the use of smartphones. Their goal is to empower drivers to create, share, and use real-time information (such as traffic updates and road accidents) straight from their smartphones. This has been very popular and efficient in Israel, where they first began.

We believe that there is a lot of potential for an application like this. This will allow for users to help others, while getting help back. It is very useful to have real-time updates when your making that trip to work, and what better way to do it than from your smartphone. Waze is currently accepting 100 alpha testers, so sign up as soon as possible to ensure you will get in.
