Amazon has released an iPhone application into the app store that will allow users to buy e-books and read them directly from their phones. The Kindle application is free for download but if you want to begin reading books you will need to purchase them from your computer (most go for $9.99) and transfer them over to your iPhone. Kindle users will be releaved to find out that WhisperSync will allow them go from their Kindle device to the iPhone and not lose their page!
