iPhone SDK and Application News

Justin Cauchon March 6, 2008 1

Apple is releasing the SDK to thousands of developers today! Anyone can download this for free starting in a few hours. AOL, EA, SEGA and a few other companies got the SDK two weeks ago and made some interesting games/programs. The kicker is that the developers will get a few perks and get to set the price, as seen in the picture below

These applications will be downloadable straight from the iPhone (like the iTunes program). The 2.0 software update will be publically available in June, though there is a beta today.

Great write up. The iPhone is truly awesome and I don’t like being without it. This time last year I had jumped in a pool with my iPhone and it was dead. I had to wait 9 days before I was able to buya new one. The phone I had was a cheap go phone. I really love all the apps that can be downloaded to the iPhone. The best part about the iPhone to me is the ability to check emails on the go. Thanks for the information.
